House For Sale!

I was right; it took me a while to get back here. Other things are apparently more important than posting on a blog that nobody reads.

We’ve been a bit busy. I thought about writing, but of course, I didn’t do it. But at least I thought about it!

Meanwhile, Susan and I were in charge of another two weeks of having 30+ homeless people at our church. It was pretty stressful, having to be there every afternoon and evening. Thankfully, we no longer have to stay overnight. The shelter rotates among different churches, and members of each Congregation are supposed to step up and help.

Supposed to…

Our Congregation offered to cook eight nights out of the 14-day period. This left it up to me and Susan to provide meals for six nights. Thankfully, three other churches in our area volunteered to help. Otherwise, I have no idea what we would have done.

The bright side is that we plan to move in June, so we will be in a new church with a limited number of members (under 40) who seem to be more active than the church we are currently in, which has at least twice or three times as many members. People here are much busier with their daily lives and don’t have the time to give an hour or two to help out or clean or cook a meal than those in Idaho.

No matter. It is done, and we don’t have to worry about it anymore.

In the meantime, since we no longer have to attend church every day, we are busy packing and showing our house as we attempt to sell it ourselves, which is a slow process. However, we have hopes of receiving a bidin the next few days. We also spoke with another buyer today who plans to visit this weekend. He is an investor who would improve the property and sell it for more money than we can ask.

So, even though nobody reads this blog, I will let those of you who do not read it know that if you who do not exist are interested in possibly looking at our house, you can find more information at 2496.house, which I have just finished working on (again).

Peace.
K
